Settling In...

This is our new house, and we are finally starting to get settled. We closed on the 15th, and the movers came on the 16th. So, we've been in our home now for over a week. My parents helped a lot. My mom was already here so that she could watch Madison, and my Dad came on Friday with Nacho. My mom and I started unpacking things on Friday. It is very hard to try and unpack with a 10 month old needing attention. So, one of us would try and watch her while the other one unpacked something. My Dad and Jeff put up ceiling fans. We had 6 of them to do, so it was an all day ordeal on Saturday. They also put up shelving in the master closet. Dad left on Sunday, and my Mom decided to stay a few days extra. She knew that once she left that it would be extremely hard for me to get a lot done. I don't know what we would have done had my parents not helped out. They worked their butts off, and Jeff and I truly appreciate it. We hope one day to repay them somehow. I just have a few things left to hang on the walls, and I will post pictures of the inside.

This weekend we got most of the garage done. It was a mess because all the boxes from the move are out there. We are waiting on Atlas to come and pick them all up. After that, we should be able to get the rest of it done.

Everyone is doing fine. We don't have blinds yet. I've ordered them, and they should be installed on Tuesday or Wednesday. So, we have this butcher paper up in the windows. The cats really, really wish that it wasn't up. They want to look out the windows, so they are constantly pulling it pack to get in the window to look out. Nacho has discovered that the South side of the house is really, really muddy (new sod, so the sprinklers are running a lot). We've been bringing him in at night, and so Jeff has to bathe him every night now! We will have to do something with this mud pit. We are guessing something similar to what we did at our old house.

And, Miss Madison is just growing and doing really well! She's learning and doing new things everyday. She waves now. It's really cute. She actually waved to the cashier at Hobby Lobby on Friday night. I was shocked since she's usually so shy. She still loves to play peek-a-boo and paddy cake. We are kinda crawling backwards now! She gets up on her knees and pushes backwards. She also kinda wiggles everywhere and is still really good at rolling places. She can stand flat footed with us holding on to her. She loves to get in her pink car and go backwards. Like I said, she's growing and learning new things everyday. I will definitely be posting new pictures of her and updating the blog more often now.
