Madison is 9 months old, and I can't believe it. She was actually 9 months on the 20th, but she just had her 9 month checkup today. I was rather worried about her throwing a fit at the doctor today, but she did very well. She laughed the entire time except when they gave her shots. She's still not crawling, but she really wants to. Dr. Sood told me that if she's not crawling in a month to call him and let him know. He really thinks that she's just a late bloomer in that department. My mom says I was too, so I'm trying not to be too overly concerned about it. Her latest trick is playing peek-a-boo. She loves to get a burp cloth and raise it over her head and then bring it down really fast. That's when I say, "Peek-A-Boo!" And, she just laughs. It's really cute, and I hope to capture it on video. They wrote down her stats for me at the doctor, but the paper is in her room and she's asleep. However, I think I remember them. They were:
- Height: 29 7/8" (she's really 30" but the nurse said she couldn't have that yet)--97th plus percentile
- Weight: 20 lbs. 8 oz--80th percentile
- Head: 47.8 cm--97th plus percentile
So, she's still really tall and has a big head!! I can't believe my baby will be a year old in 3 months. Where did the time go?
Things here are still very hectic for us. Jeff has been in Canada for 2 weeks doing new employee orientation. I've been left here packing and going through things. I had to have stuff separated out...stuff that goes to temp housing, stuff that goes to Bristow (either because I don't want movers touching them or stuff I'll need while I stay there for 2 weeks), and stuff they movers won't move. I think I have everything done. There will be last minute stuff that I can't do until like Sunday and Monday. The movers will be here Wednesday to pack, and they will load on Thursday. We close on our house here on Friday. We bought a brand new home in the Ft. Worth/Keller area. We close on it on the 15th. So, Jeff is going to go to temp housing for 2 weeks, and I'm going to stay in Bristow with the animals and Madison. RIM will not pay the pet deposit on our animals, and it's a non-refundable fee of $500!!! So, that's why I'll be in Bristow.
I'm waiting on Jeff to get in from Canada right now. I have to go pick him up, and at last check his flight is getting in at 11:30. He was supposed to get in at 10pm, so that is why you all are getting a rare post!
Again, I appreciate everyone still checking it everyday, and I'll try to post something soon.

What a big girl! She looks like she has a lot more hair now and just seems so much bigger! I've been trying to be patient, but it was hard! So finding new pictures today just made my day!!!
Madison's daddy was a little slow in crawling, too. But you'll find when she takes off you will get the exercise keeping up with her!
Love, Grandma
I can't believe she is already nine months. She is an absolute doll. I am sure you are having a lot of fun with her. Rachel
